Grades 6 - 8
Grades 9 - 12
Weekdays: 5:30PM - 8:30PM
Youth in our programs are taught key life skills that are often left out of school. These include topics such as money management, leadership and cooking within budget.
Our trained supervising staff are always present to provide guidance, mediate conflict, support youth during times of crisis or simply keep activities fun and interesting!
Both our staff and peer mentors are ready and able to provide help with homework to ensure that our youth get the most out of their education!
We always provide our youth with free healthy snacks and meals.
We help connect our youth with FORT-exclusive volunteer opportunities, build their resume and conduct mock-interviews so they can put their best foot forward when entering the workforce!
We're always there to help out our youth when building a resume. We walk them through getting experience, layout and wording to ensure they represent themselves professionally.
All of our centres are equipped with pianos, guitars, ukuleles and microphones youth are free to use. Once a week, we also offer free music lessons for those interested.
In times of crisis, the FORT is able to provide youth with fast and free access to a variety of resources (which can be seen below), as well as trained, supportive staff and emergency kits.
We connect our youth with FORT-exclusive opportunities such as Special Olympics and cooking for the Salvation Army to gain experience and achieve their volunteer hours for graduation!
A few times a year, we take our youth on free and exciting field trips!

The FORT understands that today’s youth face many different challenges as they grow. Stress, peer pressure, and difficulties at home or at school can take a heavy toll on a teenager. While the FORT provides a safe, comforting place to help teens deal with their problems, sometimes professional help is needed, and the FORT is there to provide it.
The FORT is able to offer any youth who may need it access to a professional psychologist at no cost. The FORT is dedicated to ensuring youth get the help they need when they need it. We are able to provide teens with care and attention in as little as a few days, and ensure they are connected with a trained professional who can help guide them. As with all programs at the FORT, this service is provided free of charge!
