The Grimsby Benevolent Fund (GBF) is a local nonprofit that operates a “supermarket-style” food bank. GBF offers a wide range of programs—such as birthday gifts, school supplies, bursaries and utility assistance —to support families’ diverse needs throughout the year .

The Government of Canada plays a vital role in supporting nonprofit organizations like The FORT through funding, grants, and community partnerships. This support ensures youth programs remain free and accessible —empowering young people and strengthening communities across the country.
